REMnant- Born in the live-music capital of the world, this Austin, Texas based R.E.M. tribute band captures the restless spirit, poetic depth, and jangling urgency that made R.E.M. one of the most influential bands of all time. With deep respect for the original catalog and zero interest in phoning it in, the band delivers performances that feel less like imitation and more like time travel: emotional, loud-quiet-loud, and unmistakably alive.

Fronted by Carl Almasy Coccaro, whose voice channels both the vulnerability and conviction at the heart of Michael Stipe’s delivery. The band is powered by Tim Scott’s chiming, melodic guitar work, rich with the angular jangle and rhythmic drive that defined Peter Buck’s unmistakable style. Nate Pina anchors the sound with a melodic, propulsive bass presence inspired by Mike Mills’ signature approach, equal parts groove, harmony, and emotional lift. Matt Patterson drives it all from behind the kit with dynamic, thoughtful drumming that honors Bill Berry’s subtle power while keeping the songs firmly grounded. Together, the four create a sound that’s faithful without being frozen-polished, passionate, and deeply human.

From early college-rock anthems to the stadium-sized later years, this Austin quartet celebrates every era of R.E.M. with care and intensity. Whether it’s the aching beauty of Automatic for the People or the kinetic punch of Murmur and Document, their shows remind audiences why these songs still matter—and why R.E.M.’s music continues to resonate, decades later.
